The Great flexibilities of being a PlastererĀ Ā Ā
Maybe your passion is doing up old cars.
You can do two plastering jobs back to back and take a week off or more if you want or just work four days a week. That's the great thing about plastering peoples homes. You'll find that you'll plaster a couple of rooms or a double living room, and then you'll be finished ready for the next job. You can organise the breaks between each job that suit you, not someone else.

Have a love for your music?
You may have a gig that evening and need some downtime before getting there. Just finish early that day. You might have a rehearsal in the afternoon or need to take the next day off, no problem just let the client know you'll be in the day after. When you give fixed quotations the customer is much more relaxed. They leave you to the job and are often not in or at work themselves, they know what the job costs and your both on the same page.
And when it comes to your love of music you can close the door to the room your working on and put on the music you love all day as your working. Now THAT is a free feeling!Ā

Want the flexibility to drop the kids off in the morning or pick them up early from school or nursery. Plastering's the perfect job for that. I did this for a good number of years. It works seamlessly. It gives you a chance to really meet the other parents, get the experience of the school, know how your child's doing, invaluable experience that you'll never get again rather than hearing about it when you get home, learning about it from a far rather than experiencing it.

Have a passion for an artistic project that you want to succeed in or even fund, but don't have the time?
You may just want to work part time and be in your studio for the rest of it. Thats fine you just decide to take on less jobs freeing up the rest of the time for your other major project. An established plasterer is well paid and you may need to fund your other project your working on for a while until it's up and running, giving you that flexibility for both.
